To assist those who assist the Kingdom.  That’s my personal life mission statement.   Outside the past 3.5 years of pursuing my PhD in Education and Leadership at Talbot Seminary, my career has predominantly been in corporate management at Fortune 500 companies (Alcatel-Lucent, and AT&T).  Investing over a decade in marketing and strategizing for companies that were not Kingdom minded, God placed on my heart to give all my talents, strengths, and resources in aiding those who were serious Kingdom Movers & Shakers.  Hence, I resigned from corporate America, and arrived at Biola University. 

Yet, ministry had always been an undercurrent of joy outside of vocation. Our friends and families consisted of the church plant in Chino Hills, where God placed us the past 8 years.  Co-planting with another pastor, we have enjoyed the fruits of our labor witnessing people’s lives being transformed.  At the same time, October of 2012, God has moved our family to another season in life where I will be serving as the Lead Pastor at Saddle Back-Irvine church.

Finally, I am a Vietnamese-Texan.  I love both BBQ and Pho!  I grew up in Dallas, where God’s football team plays.  I love sports, food, and board games.  My wife, Huong, and I have been married for 9 years, being wonderfully blessed with a 3.5 year old son, Khoi Ethan-Josiah Nguyen.  I think he looks like his dad.
